The Reed Valve Spacer raises the reed block away from the engine, allowing the use of larger-diameter carburetors and increasing crankcase volume and primary compression ratio. Especially suited for engines in racing configurations. Recommended for expert use.

Assembly

Remove the original reed block from the bike.
Insert the reed valve spacer between the cylinder and the reed block, checking for correct orientation.
Use the original gaskets (not included) on both sides of the spacer.
Reassemble the reed block using the original hardware.
Tighten the screws crosswise and evenly, checking the torque with a torque wrench.
